The Child Nutrition Fund is an innovative financial partnership managed by UNICEF together with global investors such as the Gates Foundation and the Bezos family. The fund supports children’s nutrition, survival, and protection. Its goal is to save lives, combat malnutrition, and build a safer future for children — while also inspiring other business leaders to follow suit.
W Initiative is the first Norwegian donor to the initiative, providing a grant of NOK 8 million in support. The funds are earmarked for RUTF (Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food) in South Sudan.
South Sudan is one of the most underfunded areas globally when it comes to child survival. Support to the fund helps secure life-saving treatment for acute malnutrition and it also places Norway and the Norwegian business community on the map among the world’s leading investors in children’s futures.
The foundation works actively to provide children with safety, protection, and access to food and education — regardless of where in the world they are born. This is not only about helping in the moment, but about investing in resilience and hope for the future. When children’s basic needs are met, the foundation is laid for development, both for the children themselves and for the societies around them.
We wanted to partner with an organization that can demonstrate proven impact and global reach. UNICEF delivers results that ensure every contribution has the greatest possible effect.
For this reason, the board decided to support UNICEF and the Child Nutrition Fund in 2025.
